    Sardinia: the "Sentiero Costiero della Nurra" is a beautiful path along the coast

    The "Sentiero Costiero" (coastal path) is a very scenic coastal path starting from the beach of Lampianu and leading to the ghost town of Argentiera ( It was a mining town, `Argento` means silver in Italian. The mine was exploited since the Romans period. The most florid period for the mining village were the 1940s. The town declined after World War II, and the mine was closed in 1963. Argentiera is now included in the Geological-Mining Park of Sardinia and preserved by UNESC
